June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month! Meet & greet some friendly purr machines looking for a home! Our friends from the South Suburban Humane Society (SSHS) will introduce some adorable felines and talk about their behaviors and provide some tips about caring for cats and other pets. Come by to get more information or even to take home a new friend (if adoption is approved by SSHS). Not ready to commit to a lifetime with a pet? Learn more about how you can foster a shelter pet and help an animal in need until he/she is able to find their forever home!
We will take turns entering and leaving the program room if needed, so we can maintain a calm cat-friendly atmosphere. You'll find a few fun cat activities set out in the Children's Department for you to do before or after you visit the cats. Please join us for this catastic afternoon, perfect for cat fans of all ages.
