August is National Dog Month! We have some friendly tail waggers looking for a new home and they will be stopping by the library! Our friends from the South Suburban Humane Society (SSHS) will bring by some adorable woofers that are available to be your new BFF. Come by to get more information or even to take home a new family member (if adoption is approved by SSHS)! Not ready to commit to a lifetime with a pet? Learn more about how you can foster a shelter pet and help an animal in need until he/she is able to find their forever home!
We will take turns entering and leaving the program room if needed, so we can maintain a calm atmosphere. You'll find a few fun dog activities set out in the Children's Department for you to do before or after you visit the dogs. Perfect for dog lovers of all ages.
