Event Details

"A Place for Us" by Fatima Farheen Mirza

Description:

A deeply moving and resonant story of love, identity and belonging, A Place for Us unfolds the lives of an Indian-American Muslim family, gathered together in their Californian hometown to celebrate the eldest daughter, Hadia's, wedding - a match of love rather than tradition. It is here, on this momentous day, that Amar, the youngest of the siblings, reunites with his family for the first time in three years.

Please drop in on any of our book discussions! We are a friendly group of local community members who gather to discuss selected titles each month. Titles will be available for checkout in a variety of formats from the front desk three weeks prior to each meeting date. Light refreshments served. Pre-registration is not required. All are welcome, bring a friend!
